Now, this has a lot of the Early I've grown to know and love, with an extra layer of depth in the strangely disturbing melodic twists it takes, not to mention you've handled the subject matter with pure lyrical intensity that's also disquietingly direct...
The distorded, mangled closing segment punctuates the topic perfectly, too! Like a dark descent into oblivion...
Yeah you've nailed it here!

This reminded me of INXS, the vocals have that same intense emotion and edge that Hutchence carried.
Wow, this is a heavy topic and you hit it head on, as the song takes you on its journey towards oblivion. This is total music making, from the vocals and instrumentation thought to the arrangement and production. Awesome!

This is very familiar somethin, kind of 80s style? I don`t really dig whole music world. The vox vvvv awesome once again, good emotion, touch my soul. And the melody, all with feeling. This great...

Gotta love that voice! Faints Nodding

Very soulful music...great sound. The emotion is injected into this in just the right measures and increases/fades beautifully - this song controls the mind and takes it on an emotional rollercoaster...thrilling stuff! Bowing Down

This one is very close to you.....I can tell there is a sadness here that comes through like the goose bumps on my arms as I listen to this tune.....a mix of chaos and despair knitted throughout.......great tones and saturation with the ambience and atmosphere.......the end is very visual and transports......killer.

The depths this one goes to is intense. I hate it when people make comparisons to other artists and I don't mean to here but there is something incredibly Tom Waits-like about the ending of this. Not that you sound a thing like him. You have your own incredible style. It just reminded me for a moment as something he might do with a deeply moving song such as this.

OMG - I am trembling with the intensity of your song, your lyrics, your soul, this story, this precious perfect destruction. You cut me up when you project your emotional voice. I have never heard a song like this before in my entire life. A beautiful killing tale that has the mark of genius indellibly broken into it as a brand. A heart attack in my ears, wonderful in every way. Playlisted, treasured, affected, & in complete & utter awe. Burning Candle Is the album on sale?

I'll never get off your page! Just to say the numbness of the ending is a fantastic audible description/image of the blind fog of alcoholism. Much respect for your work. Thumbs Up

Very heavy lyrics, your vocals are truly fantastic here. Interesting ending, as ChaosSurfer said - into oblivion

Gosh, your voice really reminds me of 'Like Suicide' by Soundgarden. Again, the sound of your voice is so lovely. A natural one.

This is a frightening track. This evokes so many true to life images and memories of people I've met over the years that it is a hard track for me to even listen to. But, that said....it is absolutely a piece of art.

I really like the effects on the acoustic.. and when the bass enters, it's so full and rich..
You really do have an incredible voice... full of quiet power... and then not so quiet... just superb..
Really interesting lead melody line.. some nice surprises in there, and you can't ask for more than that.

Sung with real passion and feel...
Nice idea with the muffling latter section... you can really feel the pain and frustration...
This is a very, very clever piece of writing.. :)) (Very Happy)

The intro is really rich and full of texture, it gets sort of sinister just before your vocals come in, and we soon realise why. Very good lyrics, profound and sung with great emotion. The guitar work is clever because it sounds a bit like it's staggering on the edge of reason (just like the alchoholic). The track is almost like something out of a rock opera, in fact it is a lot like rock opera. I can see this being performed. The vocals at the end are amazing with the effect you have on them, like someone drowning in something... incredible stuff.
